Indoor and outdoor recreation possibilities are almost unlimited.

You will find four country clubs, (three public courses: Garrison's Lake, Dover Golf Center, and Jonathan's Landing) each with 18-hole golf courses, two private clubs: Wild Quail and Maple Dale  with fitness, tennis and swimming pools.

Outdoor activities abound:  fresh and saltwater fishing, crabbing; goose and duck hunting; boating; sailing; swimming; and much more.

The major Kent County communities, as well as the Kent County Department of Parks and Recreation, offer many additional programs and facilities. Dover Down  slots, Harness Racing Track, Bowling lanes, Ice & Roller Skating Rinks. Bombay Hook National Wildlife Refuge is a favorite spot for nature lovers, where many different species of waterfowl, deer, American Bald Eagle and small game can be observed in their natural environment. Killen's Pond State Park features camping, year-round cabins, picnic areas, nature trails, boat rentals, a pool, game courts and pavilions for visitors to enjoy. Delaware Bay and its quaint fishing towns lure the sportsman, and the Delaware ocean beaches, considered the best on the East Coast, are only an hour's drive away. For the winter sports fan, the Pocono ski resorts are just a three hour drive away.
